Chinese New Year is always a good time to catch up with friends, family and also clients. After many years of focusing Qi Men Dun Jia and recently San Yuan Feng Shui series in different countries, I have decided to shift some attention back to my own home ground Penang, Malaysia.

What recently came as a shock to me was the person that introduces me to the horror side of Feng Shui is now using my name all over town as a reference that I am his student. In our line of work, there are only students that reference their teacher, very seldom does the teacher reference their students.

And I was thrown into explaining what have happen years back, when a good client of mine told me about what he heard lately. I think it is also best that the other readers and clients of my site have my first hand account of what actually happened, before this reference thing is spin out of hand.

How it all started was initially I was very into reading Feng Shui books by various authors. At the same time I was researching for my NLP projects into successful businessperson in Asia and their common points. That is how I stumbled into the world of Feng Shui. Then locally in Penang, I have enrolled myself into a Feng Shui program that goes on weekly. As a real green newbie into Feng Shui, you tend to put all your trust into your instructor, because they are ‘supposed’ to know what they are teaching and doing.

Naturally, I have invited this person to do audits on my parent’s house and also their business premise. At the same time introduces few relatives and friends to him. Of course all this was paid audit as we respected him as a professional.

After his recommendation, I have personally persuaded my parents to do major renovation in our house – thinking this was best thing to do. After 2 to 3 months into the program, I have learned how to look at the sitting and also facing of a property. And also naturally, the first thing I would do is to look at the plan layout the instructor have drawn for my house during his audit. To my initial shock, the facing and sitting was totally the opposite of my house. If you are familiar with Flying Star system, then the allocation of rooms and also main door would be different if you have reverse the facing and sitting.

The first thing I did as a trusting newbie was to show the instructor in class the layout and ask him on the difference. He looked at the floor plan, then suddenly he said it is different and he will do another one for me. That was the end of the case, he

did not even tell me how to re-arrange the layout of my home.

did not give me back a correct facing and sitting layout.

So to my horror and disgust, I am left to deal with the wrong recommendation and also big sum that my parent had spent on renovation from his Feng Shui recommendation.

Since this incident, I have decided to venture outside Malaysia in search of REAL Feng Shui master and learn it the right way. Of course later I have also met some good ones and some who do not know what they are talking about.

All this while, I have decided not to talk into detail about my early experiences because this person is still doing Feng Shui audits and classes for others in Penang.

There is no point of me to talk about his skill level as I always believe it is good to leave others a step to walk by as to not create awkward situations even if we bump into each other in Penang. Plus San Yuan Feng Shui is totally different from his version of San Yuan Flying Star.

However since he has publicly use my name as a reference, I have decided it is my duty to do let my clients know about the real account before more hearsay have been created.
